Default inexpensive lipo charger

I was wanting to know, if anyone knows of a good inexpensive lipo charger out there. I have an ice charger already, but would like another for my wifes car. Dont need a bunch of fancy options, just good charger. Im charging 4900 trak power, also any suggestions on a balancer thats affordable.

I myself just bought a Duratrax Onyx 230 ($79-$85) and it seems to work great so far and I use a astro flight blinky balancer I don't think it will work with your trakpower though.

I have used the Scorpion 2s 10A LiPo Charger for over two years now with Orion 3200, TrakPower 4900, CORE 5000 and CORE 3250 LiPo packs and never had a problem. Even bought a second one. It balances the pack while charging, so no need to buy a seperate balancer. $69.95

KGFLY's Balance Charger Summary

I can't vouch for its accuracy, however, as I am myself looking for a good Lipo charger too and wasn't able to get any comments regarding that chart. But from the posts I've seen that guy made, he seems to know his stuff. I trust it myself.

Edit: Personally, right now I'm eyeballing the iCharger 106B, because it seems to have great features, good specs and good feedback, all at a low price of $100-ish. I just need to see whether I can find a decent power supply to power it for under $100, and then I'll most likely go with that rather than a 50W AC/DC charger.

Also, you might wanna read through this thread as it has some good info.

FlightPower TPPP550LI TrakPower Pit Pro 550Li LiPo Chg $50!

Team Orion ADVANTAGE Clubman LiPo DC Charger $55!
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVAC4&P=7

both are lipo only chargers that are dc.

but a best "cheap" option would be to try and find a duratrax ice on these very forums, usually in the range of $80-$90. duratrax ice does nimh, nicd, lipo, and is dc also.

This charger is a copy of a imax B6 and is a great little charger, It will balance charge lipos, charge NiMH, Nicd, Li-ion, LiFe and comes with a bunch of adaptors, all for $40

Our club is very happy with the TP-610C charger.

We paid about double what you'd pay now for a charger that appears to be the same but with a different name on it. Overall a good unit.

Anyone who doesn't know about Hobby City ought to check em out. Just about everything they sell comes from the exact same factories that name brands come from, only with super cheap prices. Their only downside is unless you pay for expedited shipping be prepared to wait 14-20 days for your stuff.

I picked up one of these for $79 as well. You should mention it's AC/DC and reasonably small....I think it does up to 6 or 7 amps.

I'm happy with it so far, though I feel the menus are not intuitive and take some getting used to.
