I also agree. When CE was open, I supported them by buying everything from them and I was there to help for most of the track rebuilds. Now I'm forced to buy parts online because all the shops (except C2) don't even stock basic parts for the RC8.

pentland, nitro is definetely a whole different game and a ton more upkeep and work. As for the Buying your products from your LHS, I totally agree. The problem with this track was that the owner was miserable and didnt appreciate anything anyone did or bought from him. In the begining everyone bought from him, towards the end nobody wanted to. If the owner was a nice guy and not grumpy and in a $hitty mood 24/7 I guarantee It would have at least lasted longer than it did. He also didnt keep up on tires in stock, so here comes race night and he doesnt have what you need? So people started ordering there own stuff online to make sure they had it. Same thing with foams, motors, speedcontrols, and so on... You have to keep your shelves full or you lose sales. This track was doomed from the start. Way to big of a building with tons of wasted space, including 30ft ceilings. Thats alot of space to keep cool in las vegas. I honestly feel like they had no business running a business. My honest opinion

Like I said before, I was there for the last year, maybe a lil less. I found the owner and his son were always in a fair mood but were never interested in running there cars. The owner seemed to be interested in helis for a while there and mentioned he wanted to dedicate a day a week to indoor flying.

I dont think they were open much more than 1 year. The prime was the first month or two, and instead of dedicating a day a week to helicopter flying when business is bad maybee a day a week on track maintenance would have been a little smarter...Oh well, Im done with the bashing, it is and was what it is and was......Vegas needs a well ran indoor track.... Chris Boice where the hell did you guys go, MIA.....

Hey Chuck, long time-no see, my friend. I was able to get my back fixed up enough to get back to flying back in November. With all the training and crap I had to go through it took me out of commission until February. I'm actually out again with torn ligaments in my right ankle...I'll save the story for later.

Kyle got his drivers license in March so we have been racing A LOT down at OC/RC, the new indoor track in So Cal. It's an awesome facility and all of our old buds are there so it's been a lot of fun. We are planning on doing as much local racing as we have in this R/C challenged city we live in. With Kyle able to drive down from St. George on his own now, it really frees us up to race a lot more.

I hope all is well with you and your family. We should cross paths soon...looking forward to it.

Take care!

Hey Guys,
I talked to Mike Katz and he said he talked to the lady at the other Cutting Edge and she said that she is tired of trying and she gave up on opening the indoor track. Another attempt down the drain. I'm not sure if this is true or not so if anyone else knows anything let me know.

But I am heading down to OC/RC this weekend and im going to see if i can even drive electric off-road anymore. With all the brushless and Lipos now I feel soo outdated with my stuff.

I want a break from Nitro, its to hot and to much stress, I hate relying on my Pit man for the tune of my motor (No offense dad your a great Pitman just the motor gives you issues sometimes). I want the race to be completly in my hands, you get what I'm saying.

Chuck you should talk to your pawps or you should bust out some cash XD. Lets gett an indoor track going. Keep me Posted.

Youre going to love oc/rc, youll be fine with nimh and brushed motors, thats what im still running( i was running my xxx-4 with a revolution 9x2 and some 4200's and was overjumping everything very easily). If youre running mod you dont need a fast motor. I would bring a fan(it gets a little stuffy in there sometimes) and try to be compact on your gear, theres not a whole bunch of pit space but the space they give you is dialed, just make sure you dont start setting your stuff up in someones disignated pit spot (there are placards just below the table on the framing) i did this last wed. (my first time there).

When are you guys going down to OC/RC, Mike? We will be there Friday night but I think we are heading to Revelation for the O'Donnell race on Sat. and Sun.

Let me know...

I'd love to see an indoor R/C track in LV. Las Vegas is my second home; it would be cool to have a race place for the times when I'm visiting.

Where was the 'Cutting Edge' track located?
