I'm anxious to see them in action. They were saying that people at the CORR races this weekend would see something, maybe they're demonstrating them...that'd be a super smart move and something I thought Traxxas should do at the CORR races. Hopefully some video will show up online from that, if they do...

If it's anything like the RC8 in terms of price for a FT version, I doubt it will sell well. Making a niche market truck like this at the price point this will likely be isn't exactly the most brilliant of marketing ideas IMO. I bet Traxxas will still sell a case of Slashes for every 1 of these sold.

You really think they are gonna make a FT version?I say not gonna happen. Its marketed just like their monster trucks. Its meant to appeal to the RTR crowd and I think there will be no FT version.Oh well for it being electric.Looks cool though.

Nooooo!!!! Not electric, bummer. Kinda knew that when I saw the wheel nuts in the teaser pic. The truck looks really cool though, perfect scale truck.

honestly not suprised its nitro. Since it was designated SC8, I figured it was based on the RC8 chassis. And as 1/8 scale brushless is still at its infancy (but much further along), not suprised this is nitro.

Also, the shocks lend me to believe this will be based on the RTR style vehicle.

Looks like it used some sort of position changed glow plug setup?

Traxxas HAS been demonstrating the Slash at CORR and/or WSOR events. They even had an area you could drive one.

Sweet...that's good marketing! I haven't been out to a live CORR race yet, but I'd like to. Anyway, I would think AE will do the same kind of PR with this truck. They sure seem to be taking direct aim at the Slash with that "put away the toys" line, in the animated gif on their website. A little on the snobby side, if you asked me

Yep looks to be 2wd nitro?!

At least gotta say love the extent they went to as far as detail goes! Those mud flaps are sweet, I was thinking about a set for my Slash. Now if we can just get them to release the darn thing already....

Way to go Associated, could have made it EP powered with a basic LRP brushless system to compete with Traxxas. I guess they didnt get the memo about the economy, this doesnt look cheap! Whats next, a gas helicopter? Doesnt seem like anyones listening to there customers anymore. Maybe Jconcepts can come out with a CORR/T4 conversion.

2wd? This thing is based off a 4wd platform and its been proven that if you take the uni's out of the front of a 1/8 buggy, the car does not handle well. This really sucks now because these things will not be able to run on our track locally and at this point, they will be pushing the 400 plus mark.I am glad I am keeping my slash.I wonder if these bodies can be fit to a slash?Lets hope so.I know the first thing I am getting when the wheel sets for these cars come out.Who is the company with the 1/8 adapters out for the slash?
