Since I can't get the O'Donnell(though I haven't been looking for the OS O'Donnell very hard), it's either the King head or a Crazy Nut head, and personally, I think the Crazy Nut heads are ugly(the hex stuff). Does Hardcore make a head for the V01b? If they do, maybe my Hardcore sponsored friend will sell me his O'Donnell head.

I got an O'Donnell head for my RZV01B and it is pretty nice. Keeps the engine nice and cool without overdoing it.
I am selling the VZ-B I bought a couple of weeks ago to use as a back up cause dont need it anymore(item #3143496286) Sorry for the plug. hehe

I want to give either a P5 or WS72 a try next and use the RZV01 as a back up.

Where did you get the O'Donnell head? Straight through them?

good luck finding an odonnel head

if i ever run across one i will buy it but since thats not likely to happen i guess i will stay stock

i dont understand what people like about the OS carb so much ive had much better luck with nova carbs but i guess its because ive got more experience with them

my problem with OS v01b was it got really bad fuel economy (it barely made 5 1/2 minutes on a tank) and it self destructed on me twice however they did warranty it both times i decided i was too worried it would blow again so i sold it

jason I agree, thats the only big problem with my vo1b. During a race I need to pit every five minutes. Cant really fiqure out how to improve it. Are you racing Pasadena Sunday? I think there are a few of us from down here coming up.

Wonder how the fuel economy on the VBZ is? The unmodded Novas seem to have no probs reaching the 7.5 - 8.5 minute mark.

have to have my final descision down before my next pay haha

Pretty sure It will be the VBZ, unless it can't even make it past the 5.5 minute mark, and still not be as completely ballistic as the Nova P5's seem to be

Grrrr, choices! Always a trade-off

Ptp Im 90% sure we are racing this weekend. I would be glad to see you come down. Billy Dove will be there, maybe you can give him some tips on the mbx5, he keeps having small things go wrong on his.

chorner get the novarossi rx 21 p5

it has a different block than the old rex p5 that was probably in response to the bearing problem

mine has been incredible absolutely zero problems highly recommend it

i would bet the new OS gets the same kinda fuel economy

Yeah, I know O'Donnell heads are next to impossible to get. I think I'm buying this V01b just so it gives me an excuse to build an Unlimited monster truck...

My O'Donnell head I bought from DebbiesRCWorld down in VA. They had about 5 of em and sold out within hours. I just happen to catch em on the right time.
Jason, there is a race scheduled for this sunday up at pasadena. Only thing that might stop that is if Mark's computer dont get fixed. That is what he posted on TTT and the race schedule on his website shows it. He said he will update before the end of the week on the computer issue. If he gets it going I am racing up there.
