Default First All Slash race in Austin Tx

3 more miserable hours before the first all Slash race in Austin. I'm all packed up with 4 cameras to cover the race. There were plenty of them there Wed for a full field maybe even 2 heats of Slash for this weekend. The action Wed night was wild and woolly. If you are a fan of all out rubbin you are going to love a big field of Slash running on a track. There were so many new trucks out there on Wed and people were setting them up for Lipo's that some of the old hands had set up some soldering stations to help out the new guys. I've seen lots of new R/C's come out but never anything like this. So I'll be putting those cameras into harms way this evening to get the best close up racing action I can get. Maybe even a camera mounted above the racing surface but close enough to get those killer shots. Not sure yet but maybe one more human shooter will be in the mix. I'll have him follow the race and I'll concentrate on getting close up stuff and I'll have to two other cameras mounted low to the ground in a couple of places I usually go to shoot from during a race. Pointed down the short straights with the jumps most likely if you've seen the other track vid.

Barring any problems I should have the video out sometime tomorrow evening.
A nice little cool front moved through yesterday and dropped the temps by about 10 degrees Its going to be in the 90's but not 105 like it was the other day. I don't do well once it hits 100. But I do have the D-Booth AC to run too between races so at least I'll be cool

Default It was awesome

There were two full heats of Slash so I got plenty of footage. Even a Slash hitting one of the satellite cameras and some wrecks that happened right in front of one of the satellites. Lots of tape well over 3 hours worth. I'm thinking 3 vids qual b main then the a main. Not sure yet but there it too much just for one vid. I'll get to work on them tomorrow. I might get out a short teaser tomorrow but I'm just not sure yet. Lots of tape to capture etc. But I'll get them out as quick as possible. I'd like to be the first to have a complete race of just Slash on video.

I'll be doing more from this set of tapes. I have lots of footage since I used 4 cameras.

15 Slash in total showed up running in two heats. It was a pretty awesome showing for a first race. Noone broke anything all night. One guy had an issue with his esc but I think this was the first time he's had his out to play. In spec trim they are pretty much unbreakable on a track thats suited to them.

That video is absolutely awesome. I love the slow motion shots.

Can't wait to see the full length videos.

The video was awesome and that track IMO is perfect for the Corr Trucks or electric racing in general..... Right amount of jumps and still had a nice flow.

I must say--that looks pretty darn fun!! A couple guys were messing with one at the track today and I thought it was "ho-hum"--but seeing them run like that especially on that track looks awesome!!
