Take a look at www.maxamps.com, most 1/8th run 5s, or 6s ( lipo cells) in the 6000mah-8000mah range. Your ESC (monster max) will most likely only go to 6s unless you buy a MGM esc then you can run more cells. Not sure what the new novak conversion will do but most likely only 6s max. Nitrokillers.com is operated by maxamps you can find more info there.

Need more information. Depends entirely on the car and usage. Buggy, Truggy, or Monster Truck? Racing or Bashing? How much do you have to spend?

With electric conversions you have can fast, reliable, and cheap. Pick two...

Thanks for the info! I just purchased the new HV Novak esc and the HV5.5. I guess I will go ahead and get the novak conversion as well. I think I understand the cell and mah but I am still confused on the voltage difference, 7.4, 11.1, 14.8. which is better for 1/8 scale conversion

Higher voltage is better for the system. Check the thread for 1/8th scale conversions. There are over 7500 posts on there about these issues, setups, and some great suggestions.

i have seen many people running a 4S set up in their 1/8 scale conversions. they move really well with 14.8 volts and the proper battery
