Looks like this is going to be an invitational with a limit of 20 entries. They are talking about doing a couple 15 min races as a demo. That's it.

I talked to Carlton a bit this weekend about it, but didn't try to bounce any new idea off him like doing quals and mains. Maybe I missed something, but I think it's just one run on Friday and one on Saturday.

Does that sound right Tim?

It's a costly trip for just two runs. But on the flip side, I don't know that there's an entry fee since it's a demo and not a race... plus everyone makes the "show"

They are doing the same thing with the Slash. Limited entry demo class.

Right now I don't know how many spots may be open. Carlton (RCPS offroad director) is in contact with mfgs who are making cars and conversions, and they are being allotted entries at this point.

This is by invitation and it's pretty limited. But if there is any trouble filling the 20 entries, I'm sure they will be interested in any who can make it.

You will have to contact Carlton and ask about entering.

Craps has been talking to him about this from the start so he might have some more info.

I will be talking to them as we get closer.

I think you are right and it is going to be a limited invitational race for 1st those that have been participating in the other classes in the RC Pro Series with some manufacturer driver spots and I am sure it will open up to fill the field of 20 that will be allowed in this special event.

I will be there for the Gas Truck and Slash race anyway with the 1/8th scale really getting me pumped up about racing in the class that is apparently the future of the hobby!

It's been fun being one of the pioneers of brushless/li-po racing on off-road for over 5 years now that I even had an Electric 1/8th scale buggy over 4 years ago I puffed up some batteries on, tore up numberous pinion gears and burnt up a few of those foreign brand ESCs and motors.

Look forward to Novak sensored brushless Electric 1/8th Scale Buggy Racing!

I'll give Carlton a call to see if I can get more info from him on this, but this is what I have heard so far!

Looks like we have a Full "A" main of E-1/8th scale buggies here in Alvarado, Texas for the RC Pro Series Nats.

Monday was track building day in the Diamond W Arena where the event is to be held.

Sorry, didn't realize this was an offical race thread. Thought it was a question thread about having a national size race for 1/8th electric?

I also noticed there hasn't been any talks in months with the exception of craps.

Post removed.

Why does this guy keep spamming threads for other events?

That's not very good form. Start your own thread.

Come on down! Not a bad seat in the house with over 5000 seats. Suppose to be 2 mains with one on Friday and one Saturday with motocross styles starts that should be real interesting.

I hope someone who is going to this can take a video of the 1/8 electric main and post it somewhere. Would love to see it with factory drivers at the controls. Who's taking bets that the 1/8 electrics turn faster laps than the nitros?
