Default battery's hot off charger

just used my integy 16x5v6 for the first time this weekend and i noticed that my batterys were coming off hotter than with my novak millennium pro. with my novak they would be silghty warm and with my integy they would be so hot that i could not hold them for more than 5-10 seconds.

i charge my 2400's, 3000's and soon 3300's at 6.0 amps with a cut off of at 4mv per cell.

what would i do to have them come off cooler and sill charge them at 6 amps would i change the voltage cut off?

Yes, you need to lower the peak voltage threshold.

We've only used the Novak Mill. Pro, and don't have that problem. It's simple: the higher the charging voltage and/or the higher the cut-off, the hotter the battery. Heat is your enemy.

For club races we charge at 5 with a .4 cut-off. For big events we charge at 6 with a .4. We always charge the batteries under a fan.
