Rustler & Rustler VXL Transmission..

Is the normal rustler's transmission and the rustler VXL (or shall i say VXL RANGE) the same? can the normal transmission handle brushless?

The VXL Transmission has a steel diff gear and a steel idler gear. Both of those gears in the regular Rustler tranny are plastic and prone to failure on BL power. The VXL versions hold up very well.

you can get the metal upgrades for the standard trans for $8 total

You will need to do the upgrades to run the B.L system . I found out the hard way .
