I hope it works for you, but i think that motor will be too hot for the setup. I would have gone to a higher turn Novak, or gone to a sensorless high power setup. Nice looking conversion though

I hope it works OK for you. I haven't seen a 4.5 in a truggy, but I have in a buggy. In the buggy they last 5 minutes tops, before thermal shutdown. The 6.5 or 7.5 would have been a better choice. No Novak at all would even be better...sorry. With the Novak kit, the center diff and motor are separate and subject to chassis flex. You may strip pinions and/or spurs. With the RCPD and RCM motor mounts, the center diff and the motor mount are a one-piece setup. Keep us posted.

You are going to have big thermaling issues with the HV 4.5 motor. It's just too hot of a setup for the buggies and truggies. You just don't have the gearbox reduction that you do in the monster trucks. Bump down to a 6.5 and you should be fine.

When I tried this I hit over 150 degrees in about 5-7 minutes on either 3S or 4S with a 12T pinion in a buggy.

were you the guy at hot rod racing that truck with a 7.4v? it was plenty of power for that track you could've used a little more top end to keep up in the straights but in the infield the truck looked good or was it just the driver

You best bet still may be to go to a lower KV motor.
