Default Is RC TECH a waste of time or what?

Company time that is.

How many of you out there are guilty of wasting the company dollar, here on line while you should be working? What type of work should you be doing instead of surfing rctech?

Guilty myself -
Realtor.

Unfortunately I must confess...During the week I work for an OEM producer of RAID controllers...I'm somewhat of a data intermediary between us and our OEMs, but sometimes I get caught up on here.

Right now I should be working on my business that will hopefully be ready for the promised debut tomorrow (See sig). We're working on it diligently!

My boss game me the go ahead to spend as much time as I want here.

Of course I work for myself so I don't think it really counts.

At the risk of being blindily obvious, please remember that your employer has absolute total rights to anything you do on their computer. Including documenting what/where you do without any need to inform you, before or after.
Not trying to be a spoiled sport here at all, but it's always amazed me how many think they have some sort of privacy, just be aware that's all, if you aren't already.

True. Many company's use internet abuse to weed out people that they were looking to get rid of anyway. They can't fire people for sucking at their job, so they look to the "internet out." It's a great way for companies to regain their "at-will employer" status.

I'm guilty too -- software engineer.

But I look at it this way. I can only crank out code so long until I need a break. Either I surf rctech for a bit or get up and BS with a coworker. I vote for rctech. At least when I want to bag off a little, I only waste my time. If I were up talking to someone else, I would be wasting 2 people's time. At least that's the way I'm justifying it...
