Our 645 MG would be perfect for your truck, and should fit your budget. If you decide to go with one of our servos, keep your receipt. Our servos have a 2 year warranty on them. TTYL.

Gary: i'm not done with you yet!!!
I still have questions since you are knowledgeable.
1. what kind of connector? the J looks right but the picture is bad on tower. S/JR/Z or the J my thought is J but you are more experienced. (BTw the reciever and old servos are made by airtronics along with my controller)
2 how will it run on a stock RTR 27mhz reciever powered by 4AA(for now regular store bought batteries) ??
3 will it take power away from the other servo ??
4 what would your reccomendation for rechargable batteries be?? cheapest? longest life? best power?
5 will it drain my batteries in under a good 4 hours run time? (maybe like 3 hours, 1 1/2 hours one weekend and 1 1/2 half the next)
6 Is 39.99 a good price?

thanks
crazy

1. The type of connector you will need depends on the Rx you have. What model of Airtronics Rx is it?

2. The servo will work fine on your system with the 4 AA bats.

3. No it won't.

4. I always use a 5 cell Rx pack, min. 1100mAh. Any good companies battery pack will be fine, ie trinity or orion etc.

5. You should be able to get at least 2 hours with a 1100mAh Rx pack. I never let mine die off to the point that nothing is working. You will risk a run away if the Rx pack dies. Make sure that you have a throttle return spring on your truck I would charge up the pack after 1 1/2 hours of running to ensure no problems.

6. Yes that is a good price.

If you have any other ?? pls feel free to ask. TTYL.

this is the reciever that I have ( I think) because HPPI relabels the airtronics equip. this one looks the closest.

what is a good throttle return spring kit? i should probably get one. i am going to get a failsafe with my order from tower because i lost the throttle servo in my last run.

in addition to the questions above what are the brass eyelet things for???

Gary Fliegel 08-05-2003 02:59 PM

You can get our standard plug servo, Hitec/JR/Z. it will just plug right in.

The brass eyelets are for mounting the servo in airplanes and heli's. You won't need them, but I would recomend using the rubber gromets to help isolate the servo from vibrations.

The Losi return kit is real nice. TTYl.
