Default Losi XXX-CR

I looked on ebay one day and I found a buggy that intrests me, a Losi xxx cr build and only used one time. The pics are bad and the seller wasn't specific telling what esc.motor combo it has. All it saidv was that it came with a nice novak motor/ esc and it was very fast. But what I was concearned about is its bashing abilites and how does its EA3 compound hold up? I won't be jumping 50 footers, and I might take it to the track a couple of times, buty the rest I will be in my Lcal park and street. I am a pretty good driver but I don't want it to break for every time it flips over. thanks for your opinions
-Chris

Lots of guys here removed the EA 3 and replaced with graphite or stiffezell. I can't speak for everyone but they thought EA 3 broke easily.

ive seen the xxx-crs really beat up and flew in the middle of the air strait into a pole head on at full speed, nothing wrong with em. light, strong, id get it. im a little iffy with the novak motor esc thing because you don't know what it comes with.

I bought one XXX-CR from here and this car is great - I had some breakages, but nothing serious, they were caused by my fault. EA3 plastic is good and I think there is no reason to worry.
I'm racing it second season and it was raced maybe one season before I got it. Only thing I changed more often was transmision box.

I'd just be scared that he can't tell you what kind of motor and ESC it has.

I found out it was a Novak GTB ESC and a Velociti 6.5R Motor. I bid it up to $135 but I seen some other buggies I had intrest in and didn't bid on it anymore. here is the link if anybody wants to bid on it,

Friend of mine was running the XXX-CR and ended up going back to his B4 because of durability. He seemed to break parts frequently on the Losi, the front arms specifically, and rarely had a problem with the B4. Personally I am racing the Kyosho RB5 and have found it to be very durable.

I'm not sure that B4 is more durable than XXX-CR. We got one guy here that is ASSO fan and has 2 B4s (one as backup). During season he had several times to use backup car due to breakages etc. Yeah I had to change some parts too but I never ended that bad as he do. One good thing to notice that he's not driving fast - he's driving calm and relatively slow (I'm racing like rocket in comparison with him). So I don't know, I'm satisfied with XXX-CR, but dunno what is Losi preparing in future - maybe I'll go to Kyosho later.
