that sort of does away with the need for removing the paint from the inside doesn't it?

I'm not trying to argue with you, and not insisting to being "right."
But even you said, "It did fade a bit" and were forced to paint it on the outside --- which either goes against the whole premise of using lexan, or that removing paint doesn't work as well as some perport it does, or that doing it ruins the body.
But the fact remains that if you contact any lexan body maker they will tell you that laquer thinner and most other solvents will foul, cloud, and/or make it brittle and thus in some way ruin the body.
Suggesting otherwise, while an option (there are, of course, ridiculous options to anything) is tantamount to suggesting someone can demo a brick wall using only their face. Sure it can be done, I guess, but at what cost? And then when someone asks, "oh my God, what happened to your face?" to proudly proclaim, "Hey, I knocked down the wall!"

ok Thanks! This is what RC Tech is all about--someplace to learn and share. I hope BSS07 got some good info he/she can use to remove paint from the body of the car!
