im sure that the xk98 is fully upgradeable to x11 spec.. just the chassis is different on the x11 and the holes for suspension hinge-pins are bigger but other than that im sure everything else can be used on your xk98 but im not totally positive that would be a question for team xtreme..

Thank you Jeff. I'm pretty sure Team xtreme will come in as well and give me an answer. I want to go out and drive my XK98, but all I have is brushless and I've heard the diffs on them are some what fragile.

i have heard of people converting to tc3 diffs in those cars.. if you visit the website www.the-pred.co.uk/ there is a ton of info regarding all predator cars as the site is dedicated to the predators and there are so many tips and tricks for the cars on that site and has the most current updates on the cars.. this is the main source for all predator drivers..

hope this helps ya out.

Another quick question Jeff....I intend to use TrakPower 3200 mAh lipo batteries on it. Will it not upset the balance since it was designed for NiMh batteries?

I've heard that too and even saw how they did it. I'll go look through the website. Thank you.

i honestly think it will improve the handling of the car with the lipo.. unlike othe cars the batteries are in the front so with lipo the real wieght is in the rear with the motor so the wieght is where you need it for traction.. alot of people are starting to use the trackpower lipo saddle packs and love them.. also if lipo is going to be legal one day for bigger races than the pred is definatly the car to have.

Thanks Jeff for the input. I'm very happy the X11 is at home with the TrakPower saddle lipo packs. Our club races allow lipo batteries and almost everyone is using them already. This is EXCELLENT news indeed!!!! I believe it's time to call Team Extreme...

well that depends are you in the U.S. cuz if you are then yes it is but that is because our dollar is worthless anywhere else.. but luckily a U.S. distributer is on the way so it wont be as bad.. but then again look at all the other high end buggy's there around the same price. at least this way you will get an enzo instead of a pinto

jeff: I haven't placed my order yet for the X11 but I have ALL the hardware to complete it. Here's my recipe...Tekin R1Pro ESC with 448 BL motor, TrakPower 3200 mAh saddle lipo packs, Futaba BLS 451 servo, Spektrumized Helios EX-10 radio with spektrum micro receiver....

The reason I haven't ordered it yet is I want to get the kit with the BIG BORE shocks. We have gutted and rutted tracks so the new shocks will do the job perfectly IMHO. Could I ask them to include that in the kit when I order it?

I want one of these buggies bad. I would even settle for a used x-10 till i get the money for the x-11.
