Battery fried?????
 

i was driving my car and everything jusr fried up in it and i want to know if the battery is still good. it is a 4200 intelect slingshot. it was warm after everything gor fried but is it stil. ok to use????????

try fixing it just try hard

it fried my speed controller, reciever, servo, and personal transponder!!!!!!

Are you sure that it was not the battery that fried the components. This is very unusual. I would not trust the battery if it was me.

It would be very hard pressed for the battery to suddenly cause this damage. You can inspect the shrink to see if any metal is showing other than the buttons on top and bottom of each cell. You can also run a voltmeter across the cells to make sure they are the same. As long as these things are good, run it. A 7.2v pack cannot suddenly combust all of your electronics, unless you shorted it out.

Thats a tough one. I would say if they all fried, but the battery was ok, I would think it would have been the reciever to go first, possibly.

The reviever is the only thing that all of your electronics have in common, because they are all pluged in to it at the same time.

Check the battery with a volt meter to be sure.

Did you drive through water or a wet surface?

Actually if the ESC goes and the BEC fails it can then go after everything else. The reciever and PT and servo may not like the 8-9V the battery would pass through as well as the amperage. The ESC BEC system is supposed to regulate the voltage and amperage the receiver gets and if that fails the rest of your stuff is at risk.

Rarely is this an issue with the battery. Like Hacker said check the cells with a volt meter. As long as they are all similar in voltage the battery should be fine.

ok well i just looked at the voltmeter and it was fine and no metal was exposed so i pluged it in my gtb and it worked fine but thank you for all you help
