Just try the 3 options you have (more toe in, short VLA, long VLA) and then you will know what you like more.

I've found 4mm carbon fiber support and have a try with those.
After 8 packs both my front and rear stock supports are broken due to loosy jump landing ;-)

Default Quick Change Lipo in xxx4

Here is what I came up with when I started racing with nitro in mains that were just too long for one of my small LiPo batteries. Total pit time is about 20 seconds including running up and down the drivers stand and swapping battery.

The area in the old cell slots is filled in with lead, which balances the chassis from left to right.

Default Why I chewed up my belt

The xxx4 is old, but it is still new to me. I bought mine used, so it was a bit worn. I have been running my slipper really tight after finding that it liked to work its way loose. Then my last practice I chewed up a belt. I noticed that the belt had been rubbing up against the hex flange that tightens the slipper down. Since I had everything apart and am trying to learn about the car, I noticed that my slipper pucks were about 0.092 inches thick, whereas new ones are 0.10 inched thick. I put new ones in. I noticed that the new ones are thicker enough to put that hex flange moresafely away from the belt. So maybe one more thing learned.

5.5 is about 10-9 turn i believe, so id start lower maybe 16 or 17. if i remember correctly its 18 for a 10 turn, i havent run my xxx4 in a while, so i may be off. then i got by temperature and if your having enough speed on the straights.

but the reason for this post is my brilliant revalation, as we know gil losi is at kyosho, and ive been waiting for his first little project. it appears that the new zx5 is at worlds, and the new front pivot blocks look the be a good idea for the xxx4. itd obviously take some precision machining and such, but i think itd be awesome. if you haven's seen the pics, they can be found on the oople worlds report www.oople.com

id recommend getting the losi Allen wrench set, and nut drivers, they are awesome. there is probably no way to tell if its an original or upgraded, unless their are some parts that are not upgraded. what color is the belt?

i believe the shocks are the same, the normal might have had unthreaded shocks but im unsure. i know the mounting is diffrent. the G+ had the shocks mounted in back while the original had them up front. there is a chace thats mixed up but im pretty sure they made the switch to gain more rear grip. the spur that comes with the original g+ is kevlar, its tan in color, but alot of people opt to change them to get the right gear ratio.

The shocks on this one are not threaded and they are in front on the shock tower. Yeah it came with a kevlar tan spur gear in the extra parts bag.92 tooth.
For the price i paid for it I can't go wrong. It came with deans plugs on the esc so I need to change that because everything I have is just normal plugs.

i would go ahead and keep the deans on the speedo, change everything else, more work and money, but most definitely worth it. have fun with your new toy.
