they custom machined a lot of parts. you wont be able to do it unless you own a machine shop

I searched though this thread and did not find what I was looking for. On my XXX4, it seems that occasionally when I jump, or take a semi hard front end hit, not everytime or even close to everytime, the left front hinge pin pops out of the rear segment of the pivot blocks. This has only been doing this since I broke my front diff in a wicked flight into a piece of 3/4" plywood at full speed. I have the plastic braces, would running aluminum help? Aluminum for front and back of the front? or just the rear? It is really annoying, always seems to do it in a qual or a main, never in practice.
TIA
Rod

check to make sure the diff case isnt cracked. if it is it will flex causing the pin to pop out

The top (or lower) screws that hold the front diff case I bet are loose and/or stripped.

I had similar problem but with rear pins. I changed all pivot blocks and problem seemed to be gone. but in last main of Polish Nats I lost rear arm again it didn't broke etc but simply the pin slipped. After some practice runs I found out that the problem was in rear diffcover, i installed (during some routine cleaning) wrong , too short screws and pulled out those treads, this caused to much flex. It was really annoying as I was loosing races without any mistakes.

I think that the problem is not in std parts, aluminium blocks wont help, the are more resistant for all impacts but you will probably brake arm , which is simply saing more expensive that blocks.

Trinity made a slew of red aluminum parts for the XXX4, but I think they've been discontinued.

What aftermarket parts are available for the XXX-4 now? Aluminum, carbon, bodies, etc.

Thanks!
Chris
