Well, I did follow the instructions. It basically says tighten it till you can spin one outdrive and the other one spins in the opposite direction, but when you hold both firmly, the pulley wont move. Correct?

I don't race. How often do you suspect I'll have to redo the diffs? What extra parts should I order for these? Ball bearings, pulleys, what else?

Thanks, Kevin

Get a XXX4 G+ if you get one. You get most of the parts you're going to end up getting anyway. The only upgrade I've done to mine is the aluminum pivot blocks.

Hey, are there any good online stores for ordering parts for this buggy? My LHS is about 1.5 hours away.

I would say redo the diffs once they feel very gritty, or once every 25-30 battery packs of runtime. This is conservative and assuming the slipper is correct, etc. Hardcore racers will redo the diffs every decent size race weekend (regionals, and higher level). Maybe every 10-12 runs!

Fro steering servo, I like the Air 357, or Jr has some good servos, with the 590 mg being the least expensive that will work well.

Superior Hobbies carries A ton of Losi stuff, 407-834-9299 Florida.

For parts i'd keep some ballcups on hand, front spindles and castor blocks(comes as a set), maybe a front tower and wing mounts if your really hard on the car, jumping big stuff, etc.......Jim

The only bodoies available for the XXX4 are on the TeamLosi website, there are two types.

An 1/8th scale wing will fit with some "creative" engineering, but it will also make the car very tail heavy and hurt handling. Judgement call..............Jim

I like the BK2, VLA option on tracks were the one way works for more side bite in the long arm setting.........But there isn't a night and day difference, just an improvement.

Now, what stock motor seems to run the best in the X4 G+? I have a one way and diff option, and the track is high traction, tight and technical... North Mo Raceway, site of the ROAR Region 8's

Default Servo

Is it okay to use standard servos on the g+? I don't have any more high-speed or high-torque servos for it.

As long as it's standard size it'll be fine. Then it's just a matter of how happy you'll be with it.
