thanks Jon, I'll keep that in mind.. I'd actually go for yours but it's so nice, It'll probably be sold by the time I had the money... Still, 220 is a little much for me... oh well, I need something to tinker with

I'll take a pass on the losi belt driven offroad cars. I'd rather take my chances on something else. If I never again have to deal with a belt drive it would be too soon.

Belt drive isn't bad. It just takes a lot of cleaning and maintenance. Plus, didn't you have a XX4? I've never worked on one but from what I've been told they were a bear to work on compared to the new car.

Jon- That's why I decided on the XXX4; Because I LOVE to tinker and fix things... and I'm a clean freak with RC...

Has anyone tried running a spool or a tight dif up front? I know it would be possible to take the steel outdrives that are in the rear and slap them up front for some added spool support. Im just wonderin because I am looking for some added stearing without using a oneway.

though I have not tried it, the spool will behave the same as a one-way on power.

but I don't think it would have much turn in off power

Try a tight diff so you still have some give in it and a 41 tooth pully in the front. This should give more turn in and mid corner and the very tight diff should help on exit.

i dont have my manual at my side but dosent it come with a 41t in the front? I was thinking about putting the smaller one in the rear and underdriving it to help free it up alittle also.

It comes with two 42 tooth pullys and a 41 tooth pully. Putting the 41 in the front overdrives the front tires which will give more turn in and mid corner. Putting the 41 in the rear will give more steering on exit I believe. I've never tried it though. Having both front and rear with 42 tooth pully's is how the stock setup is done.

Got my XXX4 off of eBay today, now I'm waiting for it to be shipped! I'll post some pictures when I get it... By the way, it's the original, but has all the graphite parts and the updated front arms

I got my list ready:
Flip the Rear Arms
Buy the new Rear Tower $8.50
Buy the Aurora Body $20
Put threaded Shock Bodies on (got 'em)
_________
Total: $28.50 +tax

Hi.
iam new too this forum and i will tank you all for this tread, it was like finding gold for me.
I`am from Norway and not good in english so i hope you can read this post.

At my local track we are only 3 gays that drive xxx4 (not g+) and in the start the problems we
had was in the bumpy part of the track and that the car push out of the corners. i have sett inn
a one way in front and that helpt alot. I have only driven the one way for 1 batteripack for my ESC
broke down becouse it was raining that day. Waiting for new one.
I read in this tread that it was someting i have to do to the one way sow it wont break, have someone
a picture or someting of that job becouse I dont understand it?

On the bumpy parts on the track i still have a little problem whit the back off the car, it still jumps a
little too high with the rear. i have been playing whith springs , oil and pistons , and the best i have tried
is what i have on now, 30 oil, 55 orange piston and yellow springs. The shocks are at the innside at the
arms and towers. I am going too bay the new towers and move the shocks at the back of the towers. Do
i need more parts then the towers too do that? What do i do too make the car handle the bumpy parts better?

Car looks nice LosiFromHell!

XXX4: Not sure what to tell you about the vehicle in the bumpy sections, from what I have been hearing this is an issue with the car in general. You may want to ask YoungChazz, he may be able to help you more.
