Basically you take the front diff cover - take the screws out from where the bumper goes up into the front diff cover. Cut all the extra plastic from the original mounting spot on the bumper off. cut the front diff cover bumper mounts back so they are flush with the front pivot - drill two holes straight into the diff cover and screw the bumper straight into the diff cover. You're really just cutting the material out of there and rolling the bumper up closer to the front of the car. It removes the "shovel" type appearance of the front bumper and allows the wheels to get on the ground first if you come in from a jump a little "nose low."

I just looked at my car. I'm geared 17/94 on a similar type of track with a 6.5 Xcelorin motor.

do you have the diffs pretty loose. I would think that would be pulling some serious wheelies down the straight.

I have 17-20 pinions in the bag.

Earlier this weekend, with a 19 I was smoking just about anything down the back straight in practice...but ended up smoking the rear diff in the process..

I am going to go back through this thread and putting together a list of your tricks to try out. Having a heck of a time not breaking part...soley do to a lack of skill...been a long time since I ran these money pits (rc in general). i ran 1/8th off road previously...a lot more room for error.

Nope - diffs are set pretty standard. My slipper clutch is glued tight. Haven't had any issues with the rear diff. It wears out eventually, but usually just gets crunchy and needs a rebuild...

My Losi 6.5 might be milder than the Orion motor you are running. This might make a difference. I love the powerband of the Losi motor.

4wd will definitely go through the parts if you are hitting things...
