Got my XXX-4 in today, starting to add electronics.

Where are you mounting the ESC? Behind the motor, or in front? if I try to put it behind the motor, I really don't have room for the large Capacitor. I could make longer leads for it I guess?

My steering servo I was going to use had the wires cut super short by a previous owner....I guess I could just wire in a longer one.....

Yeah I mount mine behind my motor. I use shoe goo to mount it, I also threw some on the cap and stuck it to the side of the tunnel.

Thanks....that's prob where mine will go. I got a Losi 4800Kv setup sitting around I was going to put in a 1/18th vehicle, but this is more deserving.

I hope so....I always wanted one, and just love the sound of belt drive.

This one is really clean, and has alot of nice mods already. All the needed ones as far as I can tell. I wish I had a set of street tires for it so I don't have to waste a set that came with. Not that I can use them for my local track, so I guess it does not really matter much....

I got numerous sets of Pink Tapers due in a couple days anyways....

What would be a good starting pinion for a 8.5T > 9.5T range? I got a 92T Spur on there now....

Get some proline dirt dawgs! They're great for bashing.

For the front I think they are Dirt Hawgs II, and the rear it's the Dirt Hawgs III. Check em out!

I got the manual.....hard copy and PDF....so would you say a 8.5T and 9.5T brushless should be geared like a brushed?

Well damn! I wish I knew that LOL! I think I was told for a brushless it's motor turn x2 -2 so a 8.5 would be a 15T...I guess. But I was also told that BL with motors your supposed to gear pretty high. Yeah I'd probably through a 20tooth on there and call it a day.
