A 7.5R would still be more than needed. Went 30+ minutes on a 6000mAH Maxamps LiPo in a 30 minute endurance race last October. I was taking it easy to save the car and the pack. Still managed third with a dying rear dif...

Is anyone running Mamba in his xxx4? Is there anything I should watch out for?

thanks.

Still looking for a wet track setup, I set mine now like the std., but it seems like it needs tweaking...

There were pretty fast guys at Cactus today, but the track is falling apart. Many guys are getting too much side bite, flipping the cars.

Do you get much cogging from a standing start? I have a spare sensorless ESC I can use for mine, but I worry about the off the line problems.

I would run a 5700kv in it, you can run a 7700 in it, however you can only use 2S Lipo / LiFe batteries, most racers only use a 4600kv in the XXX-4 and the B44. I personally run the 5700 in a 2wd I would suggest getting the 5700kv

A wet track setup? well how do you drive?, do you brake to spin for a turn or just ease off throttle and turn? Do you like an aggressive steering setup? Is the track tight? Are their big jumps? Is it always wet? I can't really help you unless I know that

But my Losi friend uses this setup

Front
Toe- 1.5-out
Diff- One way
Camber- (-1)
Caster- Stock
Ball Studs- Zero Washers (makes steering more aggressive)
Tower Hole #5 to make camber rod shorter (more steering)
Oil- 40wt
Piston- Stock (57)
Spring- Orange (rough) Green stock for packed smooth
shock Angle- 2-Outside (B44-ish feel)

Rear
Toe- Stock 2 degree
Camber (-1)
Ball Studs- 3-B
Oil- 32.5 to 35wt
Piston- Stock (56)
Shock Angle 1-inside (more steering after turn, kinda drives it self for wide turn before straights

Pretty much a basic setup for most tracks.

Note, using a HS-985mg Servo @ 6.9V with a castle creations voltage regulator, super sensitive and smooth servo. Cordeless motor as fast as digitaL. I use this servo and so do many other racers Including from they guy I got this XXX-4 setup from.

Note I don't have an XXX-4, just simply giving my friends setup for you to try

You should have gotten the Thunder Tiger 1/8 Truggie wing ST1 as it is 160mm wide which is 1mm wider than the original cheesy plastic lexan wing , whereas this one is heavy duty nylon. It is very durable and doesn't weigh much at all.

It comes with (two) small indentations on the bottom of the wing. use a small ruler to use that as a straight line to ensure your in right orientation of the wing, so it won't veer to the right or left etc. I took my old plastic lexan wing, used it as a stencil as I had the washers indentations on the lexan wing. I put the washer hole lines over the center line that I traced with my pencil from the ruler. Note, be sure to start small drill hole then gradually progress to a larger drill bit. The XXX-4's post holes are 3/16, but you actually need 2-3 hairs greater in size to fit snugly to allow you to put on the body clips.

I should have pictures of my XXX-CR with this ST1 Orange Wing soon!!!

Anyone have a part for a good aluminum rear hub? My XXX-4 that is in shipment to me has them, but I would like a set for my Losi Truck as well.

I found these, then read that the GPM stuff is fairly soft. I believe that they fit
both vehicles.

[QUOTE=tnralberta;5541649]Hello every one I just got a Losi xxx4/g I don't know anything about these. mines I guess is all Graphite and I have a mamba max 6900kv this thing is crazy. I hit a rail road tie hard and it popped my front and back stuff apart. I thought I broke it but it all just snapped back together. This is the best buggy I have ever owned.

Default Novak or Losi Brushless???

Which is better Novak or Losi brushless systems? Alot of people are running the Novak's ones at my track and also a few Castle Creations, but I was really leaning towards Losi, the sensored 6.5T one.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Tim

I've been running the losi esc with the losi 6.5 turn motor for the past year or so and it rocks, plenty of speed and it's never thermaled on me or anything even in the middle of summer.

What kind of run time are you getting with it?
