I wouldn't think a front spool would be good for dirt. Isn't a front spool suppose to tone down the steering which would not be a good idea for the XXX-4 which seems to already hurt for steering box stock. That is why so many go to a oneway. For more steering.

What weight shock oil will be a good base setup for my XXX-4? I have green front springs, and red rear springs. Red, three hole pistons. I run on a tight, technical track with a few small whoops but nothing major (built as a 1/10 track, not 1/8). I first tried 40/35 but that seemed too stiff. What should I try to get a more plush ride?

Also, does anybody run a rear swaybar? I got the tuned swaybar set and put on the thinnest one but that seemed to numb the rear suspension.

I would run 30 in the front and 27.5 in the rear. Also, go to either pink or yellow springs in the rear. Unless the track is bluegroove with high traction you will probably want to leave the rear swaybar off.

One the Lesro Oneway subject there use to be pics of it when it first came out. I can not find them now. I can say it has a nicely machined aluminum housing that is annodized blue and some nice aluminum outdrives too. The oneway bearings are larger than the losi version and last much longer. I have been very happy with mine and have no doubt you will too.

If you haven't got a front one-way put one in it will give the car a lot more steering.

is it common practice not to run a servo saver? Ive seen some people run the stock unit, and some people using other setups or even an aluminum arm.

since i don't have the stock unit I was thinking of getting a kimbrough one or just using the stock plastic arm used on the 8ight. Or is it really worth it to pay the 12 bucks to get the stock one?

i use the servo arm from the buggy or truck i shave off a little of the plastic from the side the lock-nut would normally go on and then that is were the ball stud will go thats all i did, made the car a little more responsive.

So I'm putting my new xxx-4 together tonight and Losi has started to include the LCD's, yellow HD belt, and VLA rear arms/hubs now in the kits. Now i've got extra LCD's and a HD belt kit since I ordered them along with my kit

It also has the rebuildable universals off of the xxx-CR in the rear instead of the aluminum CVD's
