It would depend on the conditions you are running. I've changed my oil to 40 weight. But I run at a primarily 1/8 scale track, or in the back yard. ... When the grass gets cut

Yes I will be running on a 1/8 track, but there are few jumps and are small at that. I will give 40 all around a try. Thanks

ive really never had a problem. i velcro my body to my chassis and make sure my 6000 is tight in the battery slot. it works for me.

can't you flip the battery strap upside down so that it is flat on a Lipo pack?

Try squeezing a small piece of foam in front of that battery to keep it tight.
I would have included a picture, but it seems that I cannot add attachments for some reason. Maybe next time.

Flip the battery strap flat side down and tape the battery to the battery strap in two spots.
Works great. You can take the battery out easily with the strap.

I grinded down the bumps that are there for the NIMH's and my lipos fit perfect. They were falling out before, now not one has slipped out.

i tested out my car today. the 19 turn provides enough power for me right now, it seems to be geared pretty well with a 27 tooth pinion. i have 40 weight oil all around, with three hole pistons, green springs front and reds in the rear. installed a rear swaybar and rebuilt the diffs, which were tight as balls when i got the car. there were actually grooves where the diff balls rolled. i will need to play around with the diff settings as i am not used to the car yet, but right now i can already tell they need to be tightened. i have a standard spektrum servo in it right now, slow as hell but it turns the tires. i have what looks like step pins on it now, which is good for bashing but probably no good for track use. what do you all recommend for a good all around track tire?

My local track is hard packed mud. Very high grip and fast. I run losi pink taper pins, ground down. They work great at that track. I don't use the car for bashing at all so I can't help you there.
