I found the friction from the slipper net being so loose it was hitting the tension bar.
Thanks

is there any chance that the xxx-4 will be discontinued soon? i may be getting a used one soon, and want to know if i should hold out. will there still be continued parts support? i just want to bash and occasionally club race so i don't need a 1st class platform. will the xxx-4 suit my needs?
thanks!

No, you will be completely fine. I have not heard anything of that nature, and don't believe to do so for some time. Remember, as is such the nature for any new product release from any company, even if it were announced now (a new 4wd kit for instance), it wouldn't be available at retailers for several months or more far beyond that.

I'm sure that many people on this thread would be far more than happy to help you with any questions that you have about the xxx-4. It's an excellent car! Have fun with it.

Cool, thanks! Looks like I will be getting it then. $100 for a roller XXX-4 G+ with spare parts. Hopefully it has tires/wheels.
I have all the electronics, but I'm not sure if they will be appropriate for the car. I am probably using my Orion platinum Lipo with and LRP ESC. How much torque is required for such a car? I am assuming it is a light car, so probably not much torque is needed. Also, will a 19t motor be fine for bashing and general club racing (no motor requirements)? Or do I need something with more torque? Thanks in advance!

I was told that the stock spur gear uses 48 pitch pinions. How big of a pinion gear should I use for a 19 turn motor? What about 14 turn? I don't want to go out and buy 20 pinion gears only to find out that most of them are not sensible to be using.

Default Gear

I run around 6 to 8 teeth over the wind of the motor, this works for me.
If you use a 14 turn motor use a 20 to 22 pinon. for an 11 turn I would use an 18 or 19. If after 5 min your motor is real hot try a different gear. 120 to 160 degrees is not to bad if it's hotter it will burn up your brushes. If you have a temp gun take the temp at the endbell.

Thanks, does this work with most RCs or just the XXX-4?
