You may luck out Sunday. I had to bust my Loctite to change the spur gear so there is a possibility mine will do the same thing as yours did. Oh and for the record - I had to fight like a mofo to get the slipper nut off (using a socket/ratchet) so the Loctite DOES solve the issue. No way that brushless is generating more torque than I was with the ratchet.

F'n Losi . . .

I'd probably have something else right now if I hadn't put a BJ4 on a Christmas list. There is a super high chance I won't see one Christmas day but all I need is to plunk down some cash on something and end up getting one.

It became available so I grabbed it. I got a pretty sweet deal on it, and it is definitely not stock.

Know what you mean I hopped on a very nice SBV2Pro with enough parts to last me years! Still on the fence thinking about a truggy conversion on my XXX-4 or just selling it, I have a ton of parts for it too! lol Good luck with the new car!

Just to let you all know, I won 4wd mod with my XXX4G+ this season at my local club. My first season in off road EP, so a good result I would say. I started with a 13x2 and ended up running a 10x2 at the last race of the season to take home the prize. Although I didn't TQ at all..........
But thats something to improve on.

I know the XXX4 is getting a little old but I had to go back THREE PAGES to find this thread! Let's not forget that Truhe just put one in the Amain at the worlds and that was without Losi backing him!

Anyway, does anyone have a good setup for indoor/clay, probably high bite. I'm racing the Midwest race at CRCRC and really don't spend too much time tuning my 4wheel, I'm more of a truck guy! So if someone can point me to a decent link for a good setup, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

I'm sure if you go thru this thread (small pain) you'll find that setup.
Losi website has or had setups from Adam Drake or Truhe or Amezcua or Robbers for a hi bite track.
Look for So Cal setups.

question for all of you~

i have already moved my ball stud on the steering race from the stock location to the center of the rack to gain more steering. we now have changed the design of the track and i need MORE steering cause we have some more hairpin turns than what we had before. how do i accomplish this? im running an airtonics 94758 (115 oz/in @.06 transit).

Good luck. I accomplished it by going to a different car. My single biggest gripe about the XXX4 was the lack of steering and short of having a CNC mill at my disposal to re-engineer the steering linkage I was flat out of ideas.
