But your one problem does not define entire line of cars as being poor quality.
I have no allegiance as a racer , I just started this sport 4 months ago .
Xray may well have a great quality , what about parts support , availabilty.
Also over time they will cheapen it up if they want more market share.
I remember when I was a kid , my brother had a Kyosho, nice car,but he could never get parts from it at the hobby store. Kyosho had crap service for the hobby shop , thats it not poor quality just poor service.
I think it never helps a hobby when folks call a brand poor in way unless
it happens across the board. Just cause Losi was boughten it doesn't make
them a poor product now. Designs are boughten and sold every day in the market. Let me ask this where did you buy the kit at ? I like losi , but I probably like a tamiya big rig to . I am easy to please . Because if there is
an issue usually I attempted to resolve it before spouting off about it.
By the way I am not trying to flame you or crap on your problems.

Did you just use "Boughten" twice in one post?

Sorry prep reading and php skills are lacking on my part.
I bet you are glad I am not doing parts quality for Losi
I just looked at my post, and realized I speak like a 12 year old.
Maybe thats why I like RC so much, just a kid stuck in this old
mans body

This thread got a bit out of hand; we go from questioning Losi to HPI to incoherent posting.

What's everyone's beef with the e-Firestorm? Does anybody actually try to drive one, much less seen one in person before making assessments on it? I've owned pretty much all the current 2WD stadium trucks, and the e-Firestorm is actually very competitive, and definitely worlds above a Rustler in performance while being able to take bad hits and keep going.

I actually was able to use one at the local track , I like it , especially
with a metal tranny. The reason I didn't buy it, because there is no parts support from the track hobby shop. I purchased what they had parts support for. I am not much for online purchasing let alone typing coherently.
I loved the paint scheme on the firestorm also.

This is like saying the Arctic is a bit chilly.

When parts that are supposedly 'unbreakable' break, that should tell you something isn't right.

if you've been doing this for more than 2 weeks you should know that nothing is unbreakable, and I'm sure nobody at losi or anywhere else for that matter would ever call a part unbreakable

some parts makers have warranties, but nobody claims to be unbreakable

You should probably talk to Rolls-Royce and let them know their titanium engine blades will break when something hits them.

there is a distinct difference in the what happens when a jet engine breaks vs when a RC car breaks

there is also a big difference in the initial and replacement costs

back to the subject.....

It would be a sad day when people get into fights over r/c cars. I would probly sit there laughing over it though.

Let this thread die! Its far from being helpful, or anyting positive. We've all had kit problems with various Mfg's. I've been doing this for 23yrs, trust me they ALL have issues weather it be parts, or performance.
