Just got these gold bricks a couple days ago. You don't need to add weight when you use lipos....just set the car up for the lighter weight....lighter springs, shock oil.

I just orderd the Maxamps 6000 mAh packs. We'll see once I get them. Takes a while I guess to get them since they have to build them and they are not readily available.

Hey Beast, how do you like them. Once you use lipo, there is no turning back. these saddles are selling super fast.

The answer depends on if you are running on a high traction or low traction surface. My experience was that on a low traction surface the adding weight is necessary. On a high traction surface less added weight is necessary.

Different car I know (501X), but I have been running the MaxAmps 4000mAh saddle pack too. 1613 grams is the minimum 4WD buggy weight in the ROAR rule book and mine comes in at 1750 grams with 75 grams added under the saddle packs.

I love 'em. I've been using lipo for a while now, but yes you are right, I'll never go back to nimh. Thanks Bulldawg for the fast shipping & great communication, I'll be back for more I'm sure.
