I really wish Traxxas would release an electric JATO. It's quite a capable chassis for racing if paired with a good .12 and new tires. The Rustler/Bandit/Stampede has been around for nearly 15 years now, it's time for retirement.

mmmmm....nope. Two different chassis designs. The rustler/stampede platform is good for bashing, but not for racing. The jato chassis has racing potential however.

Traxxas i don't think will ever come out with a Electric Jato,They have the Traxxas electric rustler and it is almost the same ( 2Wd )

But you never know.

Default Traxxas jato machined brushless conversion

Seems that this thread is totaly dead
So here is my finished bl project on a friends traxxas jato .

Motor mount machined on aluminum 7075

Accept 540-550 motors
also 1/8 size motors 40-42mm but believe too much power for that car .

Machined plastic battery tray made from heavy industrial plastic material

Single speed conversion with 2 pin blocked method

Before ...

And after the installation of both 2mm pins

Mod 0,8 spur switced to mod1 from traxxas revo

This car ir really amazing converted to brushless, all the other 2wd electric trucks has the motor in the rear ,jato is a mid engine truck and this makes the hole difference .Powered with a 550 motor like the leopard 3674 on 3s lipo has crazy power ,on 4s its just out of limits (great for draster )

More infos at: http://brushlessmaniac.blogspot.gr/2...brushless.html
