Oh, I know. I just don't want to bash around with my race cars. I am trying to get down to 1-2 race cars(1 off-road and 1 on-road) and 1 basher.

i agree that it would make for a great spec class truck. box stock and can only change the oil in the shocks. and the body is cool too. it would make a great drivers class.

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU WOULDNT SUPPORT A MEGA IN THE INDUSTRY THAT STILL WINS NUMEROUS AMOUNTS OF RACES WITH THERE PRODUCTS LIKE THE 8 AND 8T ... EVEN THE MB, AFTERSHOCK AND LST2 CAN BE MADE TO PUT ON THE TRACK...

i OWN A FEW RTRS FROM LOSI AND IM HOPPING THEM UP AS I QUOTE AND IT RUNS AWSOME AND PERFORMS WELL TOO.

PEOPLE ARE RACING MINI TS AND MICROS

ALL YOUR SEEING FROM TRAXXAS IS SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE ELSE HAS DONE ALREADY.... JUST FLIP FLOPPED

BELIEVE ME MAN LOSI WILL COME OUT WITH MORE KITS THERE JUST NOT ABOUT TO BOUST ABOUT IT!

I agree that this is a cool truck. Losi already has most of the racing catergories filled up. 1/8 racing is the 8ight and 8ight-T; 1/10th is the XXX-CR and XXXT-CR and XXX 4 and XXX-NT (gas); 1/18 is the Slider and Mini-Late Model. So they have many racing classes covered. As for on-road I don't know much about that scene. Anyways, this DT could turn into another class that Losi and Traxxas have "created." But I don't know what the class would be called. I'm sure these trucks will perform good on the track but won't be as good as the 1/10 trucks now. So they'd fit in another class of racing I bet.

OK here's a question about the spec class. If the Losi DT and Traxxas Slash were to battle, what becomes the rule on the bodies? The Slash has a much larger fully covered shell, and the DT has a smaller shell that leaves the wheels out in the open. Just wondering

Hmm, some parts from the XXXT are used. I wonder if that diff will fit the XXXT tranny as well. I'd like to compare against the ball diff.

thats good air8 i was thinking 10th scale corr class and doing a stock and mod class. im not real big on a spec class just cause of the limitations of it. plus this truck doesnt come with a brushless system and i really would like to do a lipo/brushless systems and run a mod class with this truck. wishfull thinking though as popular as electric is at my track i dont know if there will be enough of thease to make a couple classes for it. i think a new class like this is what 10th scale electric racing needs. just my opinion

I hear ya. We don't have enough local turnouts to make mod and spec. So if this were to develop into a class we'd just have to go along with what someone else is doing. A normal electic turnout now is only about 10-15 people. But only time will tell. If this were to sell to some of the new RC'ers out there this would be a step towards racing, just like posted above. We have people come to the LHS and they don't want to race but they do want to buy something to bash....and maaaayyybbeee race later on. LOL.

I posted this an another thread but what the heck I will post it here too. Also hopefully now that its out we can share setup tip.

"I got mine today on the way to the track. I through it on the track and had a blast. Everyone was laughing and making fun of the lights, in a good way.

I actually was in second place when my 4400mah lipo dumped. It lasted 14minutes of a 15min race.

I did borrow some rear tires and also lowered the ride height. It handled very well. It jumped well too but was really low on power. The steering servo is also very weak. Aside from a ball cup popping off and a screw coming loose I had no issues.

I think that next week I am going to try it again with a faster motor and holeshots. It definatly makes a fun class to run in between 8th scale heats"

On the RCUniverse forums about 3-4 people have it and they all love it. They say it is really durable and the lights are really cool but it only goes 23MPH. One person has a VXL system in there with no problems and another is gonna get a MM5700/MaxAmps 3c LiPo with paddles in the dunes. I want to see that! And a guy got 2nd place in the 2wd stock truck class with his DT and he says it races really good.
