Horizon uses the Losi name on RTR products because Losi is their strongest, most recognizable brand name. They own it, they can put it wherever they want to. By making nice RTR's they are not hiding or turning away from racing, they are going after Traxxas' market share which is pretty bold even if it doesn't look that way from the racer's point of view.

The 8ight was released for public sale in September of 06', not nearly two years ago yet. Racing kits are doing better than ever as evidenced by all the brands that have released 2wd electrics (a two horse race for nearly two decades), 4wd electrics and especially 1/8th buggies. If racing continues to go well you can fully expect Horizon/Losi to participate, they would not leave all that business un-tapped. They're doing just fine.

Agree with some concern of where Losi is headed. But to be fair they did just announce sensored brushless systems and hard case lipos, which would seem to be race oriented. And the CR truck just came out within the last year I believe. And the 1/18 Slider seems to work pretty well, is significantly different than the pure play stuff. So while I'm concerned, I'm not jumping out the window just yet.

I think this truck is cool. I'm a hardcore racer too, but heck, who wouldn't want to run one of these at the track in the dark?

I might have to get one to play with... I mean for my kids to play with....

I think the body looks cool, love the window net (even if it's only a decal), something different. I want to see how this fits on our race truck.

Great for Horizon, bad for Losi and those who support them.

I think its cool!

I think the speed -t really sucked, but this thing is neat.

Cool body, rollcage, lights, wheels and tires, SPEKTRUM... and overall its a Losi:

Think about it.. what would be a better n00b car? Better then a traxxas...

Can't remember where, but I thought I heard of some track that had an annual race with little or no house lights, just car lights. Halloween perhaps. Imagine seeing all of the headlights as the cars blast around.

I wonder if it has more ground clearance than normal 1/10th scale trucks. The problem I have always had is that my race stuff is too low to really bash around with due to the height of the grass and other yard obstacles. I wonder if this would do better. If not I will have to get a monster truck like an e-maxx.

You can find 2.2 truck tires that are hard & alot bigger then the typical race tire.
