I would say a bit better then decent, Among the best. I like it better then the b44 for sure but the 501x i havent driven enough.

Don't discredit this car cause it isnt as pretty, ask dcoe16 he has driven my lazer he knows its competitive.

501 looks sik. i would imagine with all the aluminum bling its quite pricey. i'm ordering the hot bodies d4. all i can compare to is the losi xxx4 G+. losi was pretty good but looking to something new. anyone spending 300-400 bills on a car is getting a good ride. its all up to the driver from there.

I think the b44 is a smooth driveing car, sorta lazy but not in a bad way. Associated shocks suck to build. Rear top plate is fragile and expensive, although my buddy bought braces for it to protect them on ebay. nice pieces.

The 501x we is pretty good, nice sharp steering. Maybe alittle sharper then the sp. Exposed diffs can cause them to get gritty quickly.

The zx-5 sp is kinda in the middle. The sp accepts stick packs. shocks are the best in the field. sealed diffs. Very strong car.

In all honesty i would go with the b44 or the lazer zx-5 sp. The lazer isnt as pretty as the others but it is a great car. we beat up on the b44's at our track all the time. Losi's and kyosho's rule our 4wd class at lir. There is only 1 501x we though.

It's always good to have some variety RB Five.

I have to race (8) B44's and 2 or 3 BJ4 WE's and maybe a couple XXX-4's or a Hotbodies Cyclone just 1 is going.
And a couple Lazers. I have a 501x and another buddy might show up
so we'll have 2 Tamiya's on the playing field...lol

well i will be bashing the car mostly so i need a good strong car and maybe the b44 might do it but the top brace as you said was weak. i want to build it so i want a kit. i want a 501x for it's durability ,but don't really know if it's easy to drive. i heard that the B44 is easy to drive but the shocks suck so i might replace those. The kyosho sounds like a nice car so that seems like a plus, but a guy at the track kept on breaking arms easily so im kinda iffy on that car. the bj4we is mostly like the b44 but with more alum. goodies but the arms are weak, i might get some aluminum ones if they sell any so maybe the
my top 5 choices are
1. bj4we
2. b44
3. 501x
4. kyosho sp
5. losi xxx-4

Pretty decent array there.

I wanted a Bj4 worlds but the B44 was cheaper and easier to get.

Bj4 parts consist of Losi and Associated parts, so parts support might have
been a real pain, but the B44 has parts all over the place.
