I was trying to get one off Ebay before the B44 came out, and at that time all the used ones were going for as much as a new one, maybe now with the B44 out they are selleing a little cheaper, I ended up getting the B44.

Honestly, all these cars are winners. Some might suit certain tracks and layouts better than others--but if you spend $350+ on a 4wd car it will have the capabiltity to be quick in SOMEONEs hands. It basically comes down to:

price--also price of spares
parts availability
handling tendencies specific to that particular car
looks (aluminum, carbon--if that is important to you)
durability

If you think that the B44 is THE BEST car because it won the Worlds--I have some bad news for you. It won because it is a great capable car being driven by some of the BEST drivers in teh world. If Kyosho, Tamiya or even Losi really got some fantastic drivers and pushed hard to win the Worlds I have no doubt any of them could do it. Still an awesome car--but if were awesome for everyone--then the B44s would be beating up the others at every track all the time. Which isn't happening.

Its true at our track that the B44s hardly ever win. The Losis and Kyoshos do seem to be tops every week. Although some of the best drivers at the track are sponsored by Losi--but it still shows the car can win (still love my xxx4). Really good drivers behind the Lazers and SPs--but again--fantastic car--at least the SP seems to be.

BTW, there are 2 (yes 2) Losi parts on the entire BJ4--the rear wing mounts and steering knuckles. Thats it. Just wanted to clarify that.

so maybe the bj4 is right 4 me.
1. the 501x has no part support
2. the b44 is hard to drive? is that what ur saying?
3. kyosho doesn't fit me cause of the plastic parts
4. does 320 sound reasonable for a bj4?

I don't know who told you a B44 was hard to drive. A well setup B44 is very easy to drive, has plenty of steering and is durable. The BJ4 would not be a better choice. It's more expensive, more fragile and parts support is not as good.

A fellow racer and I have talked a few times (we both owned BJ4WE's and B44's) about the differences between the cars. We believe that the lack of all the aluminum parts allows the B44 to be more flexible than the BJ4WE and therefore has a bit more traction overall.

Plus for $320 you can have a brand new BJ4 and have some $$ left over. I got mine for $310.

Tell him Dr. Huffer, I feel Dr. Mouse is correct the B44 is an awesome
car for any type of driver. The Bj4 is a nice car also, but it's just
the car before the B44.

Look for the World Edition if you go for the 501x--it has alot of worthwhile upgrades over the standard car.

Bigger Pulleys, and aluminum caster blocks.
