Tekin Redline BL Motors

Anyone heard any comments on the Tekin Redline BL Motors?

Are they the same size as a 540 motor? Just trying to work out if a heatsink off a 540 would go on it

Hey all,

Finally got out to do some testing with my R1 Pro.. I have to say that this setup is sick!! I had been using an LRP setup for my mod 4WD car and it was ok, but as soon as I started running the R1 Pro with the Redline 448 motor I was super impressed:nod: For the dirt, the Tekin speedo has a great start up that doesnt allow you to spin the wheels and then it just kicks in, making it easy to drive the tight corners, clear triples and run consistant laps etc...

I was able to run the fastest laps, TQ and finish 2nd (had a straightaway lead but messed the triple up once and finished 1 sec behind first) at our local track, which has some good competition!.. Everyone wanted to know what I was running because they were impressed with the speed I had on the straight and everywhere else, of course I told them it was Tekin!!.. I downloaded and setup the speedo with the new software update (178) and the speedo was super smooth and perfect for my driving style on the dirt.. I am really impressed.. cant wait to get to a big event... I also had to gear up by about 4 teeth compared to what everyone was running with their Novaks, but It was super fast:)

Keep up the awesome products Tekin, Once everyone gets a taste they will know what the secret is:sneaky:

Anyone more experience with these motors? Compare to others, like hacker, GM, lehner and so on?

Compared to the others you have listed the Redlines will be faster, have less heat and a wider gearing range. Also the best online support of any electronic system. What more could you ask for?

You could give it here for anyone next: efficiency, current drain at max eff, current drain at max power, nominal voltage, power at nominal voltage at least... It helps a lot with gearing and power supply :)

Kajman 07-20-2008 01:26 AM

First runs done, quiet, smooth engine, cogging barely noticable. Quite a lot of current drain, and what is the only little problem - it runs quite hot comparing to open engines with fans on rotors. Apart from that realy great motor.

Well, I do have a small movie with a picture.
Lipo are definitly a must have when running brushless. The pack i use cost me around 45 $ and perform much better than my unmatched nimh pack that i bought the same price one years ago. Tekin motor is still running stong with minimum of maintenance (opened it only once)
