HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

OK. I got a Teamcheckpoint 7.4v 5400mah battery with a multiplex charger and team checkpoint balancer. I have no idea what I am doing. I need to charge it, but I have no idea as to what curent to charge it at. It is charging now at 4000mah. Battery hasn't caugh fire or anything, but I ahve no clue as to what the optimal charging current is. I have scoured the net. They don't even have info on this on the manufacturers site. If anyone cant point me to a chart or websire where I can go to find out the info I need I would be very thankful.

I can't help with the balancer and charger setup... I have no idea if they have matching plugs, etc.

You can charge it at 4 amps like you are doing... that's fine. ("by the book": up to 5.4 amps if the charger will do it)

GlassDoc has it right.

You should charge lipos at a 1C Mah rating. Since your pack is rated at 5400 Mah you can charge at up to 5.4 amps. If you had a 5000 Mah you would charge at 5.0 amps. Get the idea?

For info on your Checkpoint battery, refer to the www.TrakPower.com site. Your Checkpoint is made by TrakPower, which is the car side of FlightPower. See, isn't that simple? Don't worry, it's good stuff.

Thanks guys. I got it running yesterday. WOW! The hobby sure has changed. I could barely keep it on the ground. I still have things to do like tweaking my suspension, calibrating my speed control and fixing the hatchet job my brother-in-law did soldering the wires and connectors. I already broke the switch on my ESC. It still works fine but now I have to use a little screwdriver to tun it on and off. :p
