make sure you read up on the feigao motors. Have been hearing that they work great for a what they cost, but are not as reliable as people would like. You may also need the RC Monster heatsink / mount if it fits.

As for your 4S project, how are you planning to cool the ESC right now? I have mine on my 1/8 scale buggy rigged up with a large fan and hole mod, and I am looking to go away from that and go with a novak HV capacitor as Pipeous is having great success with just a similar series of rated caps on the ESC.

Finally for your batteries, are those lipos of NIMHs you are planning to run? If lipos, make sure you check on how they are rated so they are not overpowered and damage your packs.

I race on-road carpet cars so i know about cooling and batts. And furthermore i got everything hooked up today and put my mamba max on it, since the new motor isnt here. AND IT RIPPS. And isnt getting hot yet. It was around 12.5v so idk what its gonna do at full power. But the mamba max 4600 WILL power the revo and preopell it at nice speeds. Once i chage both batts i will link a vid. For all u non-belivers.

heres the vid. The batts were not fully charged, i mesured 16v on them. I didnt do a full run cause the motor is gettin kinda hot. This run got it to 120 degree. I need a fan or a heatsink like u guys said. Also i wasnt running it with a body, luckaly i did not scratch the motor. i flipped it over. But i am going to put the motor i orderd.. Feaigo 8xl. Just wanted to prove what castle creations said, that it will work with 4cell and will not FRY..So enjoy...

not 30 secs of running, i ran it a few passes to see if i can get it to shift. And its 90 degs outside. Id say maybe 2 mins of running got it to 120 degs. But like i said i need to have some way to cool it.

LOL, you may want to head to the forums at rc-monster.com

you can use the motor for braking and reverse if you lock your tranny in second gear

there are tons of how to threads and stuff over there for doing the e-revo thing

that's an option if you don't want to put the servo and brake hardware back on
