Questions?? Hesitation Problem

Tonight I was driving a friends xxx-t and noticed that from a dead stop, or slow roll that if you mash the throttle the motor would hesitate and stutter. Once the truck is up to speed it runs just fine.

The truck is equipped with a basic Novak XBR/EX 10.5 brushless system, standard spektrum receiver, RTR servo, and was running one of my 3250 li-po packs.

I tried searching the forum for some answers, but couldn't find another case that sounded exactly like this one.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you try the dead band profile to see if it some how had changed?

No. I figured since it also does it from a slow speed dead band could be ruled out.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like it is pulling more amps than the lipo can supply and that is the cause. Try it again with a different pack, a NiMh, or a higher output Lipo (C rating).

I noticed this on a very high bite track with my 3200 & 6.5 GTB set up in a 4wd. With my NiMh packs, no issues, but with the lipo, I got the hesitation unless I rolled on the throttle slowly.

Try a larger Run cap maybe?
What motor you running it may be drawing to many amps for that ESC?

It's the standard Novak EX 10.5 that came with the system. I guess we could try a larger cap.

Still open to other thoughts & suggestions.
