Please help!!!!!!!!
I just bought a RC10T4 Factory Team Kit with a LRP Sphere Comp ESC?Vector X-11 5.5T motor. What is thim motor = to in a brushed motor?

around a six turn modified

what number would be a good starting point obviously that motor is over kill. I would like something around a 12 turn
#4
i think for that u would need a 7.5, thats what most of the pros are running i think. a 5.5 is overkill.
#5
if you want brushless try a 6.5 which to me fells like a 10 turn or a 8.5 which fells like a 12 turn

Thank you very much I have been out of the scene since the mid 90's and all of this is new to me.

I have another question what would a Novak SS10.5 Pro be equil to in brushed?
#9
Im torn as to what I want to do. I bought the Novak thinking it would be faster than my eraser 9.5 but the eraser is equil to a 17 turn. Now in thinking I should get a 7.5 or 8.5 as I already have a Vector X-11 5.5 I just dont know what kind, do I get another Novak or another LRP? I feel that the 9.5 is too slow and the 5.5 is too fast.

Anyone?

You already have a history with the LRP brand of brushless motors, as such it would make sense to stay with the brand you ar familiar with as each of the different brands like a different gearing and produce power sightly different.
You say you already have a LRP 5.5, yet you purchased a Novak 5.5? That seems odd as you post seems to indicate that you had the option of purchasing a different motor/speed controller package.
Here are a couple of question back to you. What is it that you not able to do with your 9.5 that leads to you feel the need to get a lower turn motor? What have you done to ensure that you are getting the most out of the motor you have now?
My personal experince has been that the 7.5 system seems to have the best speed/driveability for the dirt. I'm sure that there are drivers out there that can and do handle more, but this motor seem to fit the bill for alot of different racing situations.

The Novak I bought was a 10.5. Its not that I cant do things with the 9.5 Im just not sure how it will stand up to competition.

Depending on the track (conditions/layout) the 9.5 may be the right motor for you. Unfortunately more motor does not always directly relate to a faster car/truck. From what I have seen if you are running in MOD the 7.5 seems to give the best overall performance in most situations. I would try the 9.5 and see how it performs against the racers you run with and adjust from there.
