does anyone know wat things to use around the house to make your tires tacky?

Try spraying your tires down with WD-40 and then stick them in a zip-lock bag for a week to soften them up and get more grip.

clean with simple grean, motor spray then zip grip....... put in plastic bag. I do this like every 3 qualifiers.

at my local hobby shop they have this dirt tacky grip that you rub on your tires like paint.

i dont know if it would work but try truck cleaner , it works for go karts and super sedan tires

how long does the additional grip lasts?
1x heat? 3 mins?

I've been motor spraying them and lighting them on fire lately...that seems to soften the rubber a lot!

Generally we've been finding that:

Motor spray works best with ProLine tires
Paragon in the black can works best with Panther tires
Death Grip "foam" works best with Losi tires

But a good cleaning and hit with simple green after each run goes a long way in tire performance so...whatever works for you. For best results over the life of your tire though, keep them in a zip lock bag when you're not racing...so, between weekly club races, toss them in a bag.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR TIRES IN WD-40 IN A BAG.I DID IT TO A NEW SET OF TAPER PINS OVER NIGHT AND THE WD-40 MADE THE TIRES GROW SO NOW THEY ARE JUNK THE PUFFED UP ABOUT 1 INCH.

anyone have experience with trinity red dot & buggy tires?
