Looks good, but the connectors should be on top, or have a location option.
It may be hard to use in an off road car.

Seriously, having the connector on the side just made it not fit in just about every 2wd off-road vehicle.

Hmmm.. same problem as the new SMC packs. Too much onroad influence in r/c right now...

Sorry guys but the way the bullet connectors are attached to the cells to be sturdy won't allow us to use them for a top plug in format. You can get the same weighted pack with the standard wire coming out the top center or corner of this pack. Those are the options that are available. Same weighted, cased pack with Bullets built into or wired like normal. It's your option.

Sorry, but nothing other than what is on the site at this time and the whole thing only adds a couple of mm's to the pack. The standard 2S 5000 is:

5000mah Capacity
7.4 Volts
45mm X 138mm X 18mm

and the SS is

45mm X 138mm X 23mm

An overseas manufacturing company. We build the packs here in Spokane, WA as they are ordered to ensure that you get a fresh pack everytime.

Cool news, welcome the options.

But at least for our off road Losis no weight is needed. Our truck is still 2 oz over, bug is just over. Some add weight to get the same handling, we and a lot at our track seem to be having success with going softer with the suspension. Say 5wt and a spring or 2 softer all around.

Your mileage may vary as they say, and that's cool. Not trying to say anything other than hopefully add 2 cents to the discussion.

Like I said, good option for those whose vehicles aren't over to begin with, or can't get the handling comfortable.

If I may ask, where are you with ROAR certification regarding hard cases?

Cheers!

It is a personal preference whether to add weight and how much...

A couple reasons why most guys want to add (a lot of) weight:

1. so you can run both nimh and lipo without changing handling etc. (not everyone has gone totally lipo... yet.)

2. so the setups are the same... dont' have to start form scratch and find what works.

3. so you can compare/swap setup tips etc. with other drivers.

4. so your mind doesn't play tricks on you and get psyched out that your car is messed up

Agree with every point, well except going back at all. Just trying to help with some of the changes.

I do agree completely about the mind thing. First run my Team Driver was startled by the speed increase. But by the end of the day he wanted to know if we could get more!

I use the non weighted 5000's and flightpowers (3700 and 4900) without re-weighting, running stock setup w/the required 1.5oz added to rear, that B4's and T4's need. I run you're 8000's in my T4 and love them
