Default Getting my Rustler monday

Well after years of being out of the hobbie i decided to buy another truck. I used to have the old rc10t. That was many years ago. Now i just purchased a rustler from tower hobbies.

Just want to say hello and hope i will learn alot here. As i am sure i am going to have alot of dumb questions to ask. But thats what the forums are for.

hello, and welcome back.
go ahead and ask away, youll get smart a$$ answers, wrong answers, right answers, answers that dont make sense, and answers that people give just to pad the thread count.
also, you will enjoy the rustler, they are fun trucks

Thumbs up

I just bought a VXL Rusty because my EREVO project isn't complete and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!! I made some spacers for the ESC because my LHS didn't have the battery expansion set and I put my Maxamps 3s 8000 in and hold on! I broke the rear carrier in 10min. because I flipped it on a run and the wall came so suddenly! So I went to a not so LHS and purchased all the RPM gear they had, came home and ordered the rest. Everything is in now and this pig will be rock solid!! My EREVO should be finished this week also so I will have plenty to do.

Default so got it today

Well i got it today made a couple runs with it. Had a wheel nut go loose and there went the wheel. Pretty funny there was some water drainage from the snow the other day and i didnt have my body on cause i was messing around in the parking lot at work.

And lets just say i might have fried the ecs from traxxas it flipped landed throttle stuck. And then ran over disconted the battry and it was smoking. Hopefully it will dry out and i will see if not here comes spending money. Got to love this hobby but it is my own fault i guess. It aint like i went threw a puddle just some damn overspray. But i guess more than normal.
