I raced a xxx-4 (with good results for about a year) both outdoors and indoors. I strongly suggest the A-main racing Aluminum hub carriers, as the stock plastic part breaks very easily. I had the G+ edition which I also suggest, as the graphite parts seemed stronger. As for motors, I normally used a Velociti 6.5R and in extreme cases, ran the 5.5R. I basically locked my slipper down and loctited to keep it from backing off.

Get these upgrade parts they are awesome. They will make the front end much stronger.

I forgot about those- they helped me keep my outdrives together as well. They were much stronger and better than the small steel rings that come w/ the kit. Thanks for reminding me Ansel!

i doubled up the front shock tower on mine, makes it more rigid and takes a hit much better. try to find the aluminum pivots. those break quite often also. also amainraceway.com sells some aluminum carriers but they seem to be out of stock last time i checked. good luck and enjoy it. i love mine

My upgrades that Ansel is talking about are great for sure. If you get the screw kits, you won't need to buy the alum hub carriers. For one, you can't screw them into the alum carrier, and two, the plastic carrier & screw kit combo will be 10x better than it was.

Does THD Guarantee that it will be 10x better? haha. I'm just messing w/ you- Whomever is consdering the alumnium sleeves, go for it...they kept my front end together on that car. As for the screw kit he offers, go for that as well if you do not have the alumnium carriers already.
