I have a Trinity Tru-Lathe (Pro Lathe?) 2. Its a pretty nice little unit, gets the job done. I get the nicest finish running at 3.5v--but I use an old Yokomo stock motor, so you will have to play around with the voltage. What bits are you using, carbide or diamond? You are better off starting with a carbide bit until you get used to cutting comms, or just go brushless and forget the lathe!!

voltage depends completely on the slave motor running it... 3-5 volts on a basic stock or silver can motor, but up to 12v on a 55-turn "lathe" motor

Slow speeds make a nice smooth cut and let you get a feel for it.

I need one, I jumped in the brushless era though.
I have a 19T Team Checkpoint money motor, and Trinity Speed Gems 19T,
And a Brand new Fireball 15T I never even ran, and a Orion Rush 15T.

15 turn modified is supposed to be great in 4wd mod buggy.
But I took the brushless leap instead. I now own 2 brushless systems.
1 tekin redline w/ R1 pro combo, and the Novak GTB 7.5 Brushless combo.

With these 2 systems in 2 different cars I cannot be stopped, I will finish the races at Albion in Oct.
Tekin and Novak have been around a long time and are the best brushless companies to date.
I can now run sensored and sensorless as a tag-team.

stop saying "you cannot be stopped"--you said it in another thread. You sure as hell can and will be stopped.
