Default losi parts quality

Well, for electric drivers people see the top end losis & assume its a quality car that is made out of quality materials. However, on the 1/8th scale scene it is considered to have low quality parts due to it's wear characteristics. Do you guys believe that is a company like x-ray jumped in the 2wd market their car would rival the durabillity of their nitros?

X-ray could just depends on there part quality. Losi has outsorced there parts to other markets and quality isnt wat it used to be.

I have losi electric and nitro cars
The electric yes you have to make modifications
(for the xxxt and mf2 the rear bulkhead has to be aluminum) for it not to break but the nitro is very sturdy
There are times it breaks but it is not fragile

Xray has good quality stuff, I would say it would be on par quality wise as there nitros.

Part of what turned me off from trying a losi again was the parts finish complaints I have been reading, and the ball stud breakage in the rear hubs. Till academy makes a 2wd stadium truck on the GV2 platform, I'll run a T4.

I've actually found my Losi 1/10 scale stuff to be pretty durable. I've broken a few parts but I deserved to break them. I really don't find it any less durable than other brands I ran in the past. I don't have much 1/8 experience, but I can say I haven't broken, bent, or worn out anything on my 8ight yet.

yes losi materials have gotten worse. older losi graphite is indestructable the latest stuff is garbage and i broke it so fast and the older stuff lasted me over 1 season, i broke a plastic chassis before i broke any of the graphite arms or other parts. i got some parts for the losi lst and they seem to be the same.

Yeah (OK). when was the last time you seen Drake run electric, were where they all for the Worlds.I drive my losi's like hell on wheels and they don't break, but any novice can break them then complain their to weak, their quality sucks. My opinion if you don't race at least once a week and practice once a week then these vehicles are'nt for them.Quality!

I never had an issue untill I tried to compare an 8ight to an xb8. There is just no comparing the two. I have seen xb8s go 7 gallons b4 they really start to run well & hit 15 gallons b4 they really start to show any slop. I pick up a losi & 4 gallons later I'm doing a complete rebuild to get rid of slop. Untill losi & associated both released an 8th scale I had nothing to compare the two vehicles to. However, the rc8 & the 8ight have crappy parts quality compared to an xb8. In electric racing there really haven't been alot of companies to compare those buggies to in the past.
