Default Rustler Vs Evader EXT

Greetings Folks,

If you have read my other thread then you may know that I am in the process of building a track, And I'm looking to buy a couple of suitable low spec RTR trucks.

These aren't for me to use , Which is why i chose trucks (I'm thinking easy to drive?) and low spec (I'm thinking cheap)

Righto, The two most likely contenders are the Rustler with 12T brushed motor.

and the super low priced Evader

So, My question, which one would be preferred ?, and why?

And just for the record, The radio gear and electronics/motor will do fine for their intended use, There will be no upgrading being done.

Sounds like you're trying to get some rentals. I'd pick the Rustler, due to durability and parts costs/availability.

Nah, Not rentals, Just something for friends and family to have a crack at.

All the trouble I'm going to building the track, I'd like a few other cars running around on it.

Durability is a big issue, Thanks for the comments.

Yes, Rustler's are the ticket. A friend of mine had a special race/demo for the Boy Scouts and had over 200 participants. It was all Rustler's and they held up extremely well. If you don't want to be fixing all the time, that would be the choice. The Evader will get around the track faster, but I don't think that's your goal.

righto, Just to be difficult, I went and bought two E-Firestorms.

Anyone think that was a good or bad move?

Not a bad idea. Mine has been through hell and back, and it still hasn't broke anything (That I can't fix with CA...).
