Default Wiring for lipo and nimh

So I have a new lipo that I plan on using for practice, or when allowed. I am running the JBRL and they only allow lipo and BL in Mod. Im running stock so Im using brushed and NiMH for that, but I would like ot find a way to wire them up for both. I solder direct on right now, and with lipo that doesnt seem that feasable.

So any of you out there using both, and how are you doing it?

Which LiPo? If you are using Orion, then you can just solder a battery tab to the end of a bullet connector.

Default Wiring

I used to direct solder. Now I use Deans Ultra plugs. These plugs pass as much current as direct solder according to tests by Car Action. It is more efficient, I can switch batteries, and in case of a problem; it is easier to disconnect the power. Just my $.02.

Either switch everything to deans plugs, or go with a gold bullet connector setup which keeps the hardwire look

If you have a lipo with the Orion style female plugs... use a 4mmm gold conn setup.

Depending on which LiPo pack you go with, will depend whether or not you will be able to hard solder to them or not..... If you going to run Keith's packs, then you can switch to a plug, or run a carbon solder bar like some of us have....

I'm switch back and forth between NiMh's and the Orion LiPo's. I'm using the bullet connectors right on my ESC and then for the NiMh packs I use the tubes. With the Orion packs it has 4mm bullet plugs built in. Easy
