This is why I like Loamy tracks that you can run the step pins all year.

Geeees guys ... best stay that side of the pond then!!!
In the UK we have several tracks that need a new set of tires every run (yes you read that right ...... tires going off in 4 minutes and the last minute the car is all over the place!!!). If you think that our tires are about £16 a set + foams (£4 a set) and wheels (£7-£10 a set) .... with 2 practice runs, 4 qualifiers and 3 leg A mains then ...... well you do the math (then double or so to get price in $s)!!
Luckly we have a control tire rule for our national series so at least you know what your going to use through the year so you can buy in bulk at the start of the season and haggle a deal or two.
Also the number of tracks that need that level of investment is going down too.
