I've noticed Roy lurking on the forums lately as well.... I figured he'd be busy with the American Idol tryouts going on now.

I used a B4 at CRCRC and didn't ever try the Kyosho car/don't have one to try out. The B4 was more stable and easier to drive than the XXXcr. The XXXcr you had to do more of the work to go fast but you could push it more to make up time....but it has higher risk of car getting upset and you crashing. B4 you need to be more careful landing jumps/keeping chassis parallel to the landing and not to clip the peaks of the landing jumps.

Any pics of your B4 hanging around (if you ran a painted body)?

Oh, and what happened to SkipGear?

Here's a pic of Robber's B4 painted by SkipGear. I talk to Skip a few nights a week. He races locally and helps run the King's Raceway races (formally DCRCR).

Thanks for the info, the stuff looks dialed as usual. Do you think he will ever get back into the "SkipGear" mode, with vinyl, etc?

He still cuts and paints and IMO one of the best still. Of course I'm probably slightly bias.

I'm still around. I had to back off from the web thing for a while. Having a 3 year old takes a lot more time than I have to devote. Once he is old enough to hang out at the track with me, I will get back into the swing of things. I still paint for locals but I really only have time to paint 2-3 bodies a week, not like the 10 or so a week I used to do.

Right now is probably a bad time to jump back in full throttle with battery and motor tech changing so quickly. Once things stabalize and we get back to racing electric around here I will be more enthused. I just don't enjoy nitro racing and that is about all that is happening locally. I have an 8ight and love the car, I just don't have as much fun running nitro.

In the RC off time, this is what I have been doing:

http://borhs.org/ModelerMag/BO_Model...007_SepOct.pdf

The hours a week I would have spent driving too and from the track is spent working on model railroading with my son. He loves trains and it is quality time spent with him.

Without a doubt.

So how is this new buggy holding up compared to say the new Lazer ZX-5 SP?

I know I had the Lightining Stadium pro and the steering ackerman was a really bad weak link and so were the shock shafts. The truggy really handled well but was just too fragile so I sold it.

Watch out Jesse, looks like you might have some STALKERS visiting your thread. Apparently my internet activity is being monitored. I think I now may have an idea of who might have been responsible for the mysterious death of two of my parent's goats. A sick ploy to get me to return to the race track!

BTW, congrats on the new ride, definitely a loss for Team Losi!

taztal.....Thanks....I don't know of an exact release date for the new D4 Worlds/Japan kit, but it will be pretty soon. Within 2 months I believe.

22dasher.....I don't have any personal experience with the Kyosho car to compare against the Hot Bodies D4's durability, but I believe the D4 is more durable from watching others drive the Kyosho 4wd car.

Roy.....You don't want to race toy cars anymore? I talked to your boy Todd at CRCRC last weekend, he had his doctor's costume on with his mask to keep from breathing the fumes.
