If you were referring to the JRXS-based car I don't believe that was a viable production platform. It was way too awkward given the width of the thing.

Also - how many current non-Losi EP 4WDs out there are belt driven? Shaft seems to be the way to go currently and if they were gonna do something new I doubt it would be belt driven.

I agree. We would have seen or heard something by now. I think it is going to be an e-eight or crawler. My gut says it will be a crawler.

you don't always have to see something for it to be released. have you guys seen a proto rock crawler. NO, but that doesn't mean they don't have one in the works

That is true but when it comes to racing, they usually test new designs at big races. We have not heard a peep about a new 4wd from Losi. I would love it they came out with one, more competition in the market place is always a good thing.

I'm pretty sure if it had anything to do with electric racing, we would have seen it at CRCRC over the weekend. It's most likely another RTR.

I hope it is an electric 8
I am converting my 8 right now but if they come out with one I will get it
If it is a crawler, no, too slow for me
but by the sound of it passing you it is fast and heavy
The tires are not that big so it must be an E8
Maybe they hooked up with Castle creations or Tekin and have made a new ESC and motor?

Maybe that is why castle has been hush hush about the release of the Monster Max and the motor combo.

Well , since you agree we would have seen or heard something of a new EP 4wd . We haven`t seen an "E-eight" or crawler either . So you mind as well throw those out the window also .

I hope so, I emailed castle creations and they said they were making a new ESC with a Neu motor for the 1/8 scale

Do you use plastic kyosho spur for you E8?
Is there a problem with stripping when you brake?
I plan on using the steel spur and use a mod pinion

losi doesnt have to develop the 8 because they have already done the R and D and racing
The only testing to be done is on the ESC and motor to be used on it
So I am still hoping and waiting that it is a new electric 8
cant wait anymore but there are still 2 more days
anybody have the real inside scoop post in here

I have so many things happening in RC right now I dont have the time to convert my 8 and am planning to go to the cactus with my xx4we and xxx-cr and have fun (hope nothing breaks)
so hope it is an electric 8

The plastic spur will last with no problem at all.
I bought two when I built my car and I have ran it all summer and all winter and the spur is fine.
